I've recently downloaded and updated with 14.3.4 and I've noticed all of my flagged messages in outlook have un-flagged themselves. This is only happening on my macbook where I've updated with the new pack so it must be something to do with that? Anyone have any ideas why this is happening and how to stop it? I can flag messages again in here but they seem to unflag themselves after a period of time.
This update provides the following fixes to improve Mac OS X El Capitan compatibility: The hang situation that occurs during an account sync operation in Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011 is fixed. This problem is described in KB 3098396. First you need to make sure that you have the latest version of Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac installed. You can find more information about how to update in the first step in this guide. Next, click on Tools in the top menu and then click on Accounts. Click on the Advanced-button located in the lower right corner of the dialogue box.
It used to sync up seemlessly (imap accounts) with my desktop mac at the office and phone etc. The mac at the office has flagged messages happily running but I am yet to update with 14.3.4 there. Usually it syncs up but the macbook will not recognise flagged messages at all.?? For those whom have never used Time Machine before, with all Office applications closed, open your Application folder, Highlight the Microsoft Office 2011 folder and press Command+Delete (or drag to trash). Then in the Apple Menu, Select the time machine icon (its a circle arrow clock in the upper right hand corner), enter Time Machine. Because you were actively on the Applications folder, time machine opens there. Select a time before you installed 14.3.4 on your Mac by clicking the time on the right hand side and it will cycle through time and the Microsoft Office 2011 folder will show up.
Highlight it and click restore. You should be prompted for your password. After the copy finishes, you'll have restored the older version and should have your flags show up again after launching Outlook and it send/receives.
